It seems that Lucianovic has done just that with this moving story inspired but the empathy of a six year old boy who showed compassion for a ball of gas far away. But perhaps we should all try to let these questions and thoughts inspire us - inspire us to wonder at nature, but also to teach us to live better with the natural and one another. Sometimes our children ask questions that touch our hearts and give us pause, “Do worms snuggle to keep warm in the winter?” (They do!) or make observations so simple and yet so profound “I think the trees are telling each other a storm is coming” (they do talk to each other!). “Did you know stars die? Isn’t that sad?” That question from the mouth of Stephanie Lucianovic’s six year old son, Henry, was the inspiration for the book I am sharing today.
